Excise Duty :-
This is a tax on goods like fuel, tobacco and alcohol where the goods themself are taxable.



Tax Exemption
:-

This is where part or all of a persons or companies income where no tax will be imposed.


Specific Legacy
:-

This is where you leave a specific person an item or items from your personal belongings in a last will and testament (see Pecuniary). See Get a Last will and testament.


BIOS
:-

This is the basic input/output system and is found on every computer. When you switch your computer on, the BIOS tells the computer where to find everything it needs, such as the operating system.

Once your computer is up and running the BIOS runs in the background helping the operating system talk to devices, such as your monitor and keyboard.

Alibi
:-

This is a legal defence for someone accused of a crime where it could not have been them as they where else where at the time of the crime and this can be back up with witnesses or evidence.


Free Zone
:-

Tax Definition:-

A designated and approved area where imported goods may be stored without payment of VAT or import duty.

Golden Rule
:-

One of the UK Government's two fiscal rules (the other being the sustainable investment rule). It states that over the economic cycle, the Government will borrow only to invest and not to fund current spending.
