What is Identity Verification

The process of identity verification is used to verify a personís identity. This is important when dealing in financial matters. This can be in person or over the telephone. Over the telephone usually requires a Passwords and in person, identification documents are required. In some instances, for example when setting up a bank account you will need identification that has a photograph and are sometimes required to provide more than one form of identification to verify the person and their address.
