What is Expert witness

An expert witness is used in a court case to give a qualified opinion. The expert needs to be able to demonstrate that they are an expert and both parties can question the expert witness. Both parties can also have their own expert witness. This is the exception to the rule of opinions of a person who was not present when a crime was committed.
