Horticultural Marketing Inspectorate - part of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The Horticultural Marketing Inspectorate (HMI) is responsible for enforcing European Union (EU) food marketing standards at all levels of the distribution chain.
