What is Philanthropy

This is an action or event that is done to help others, the community or help improve mankind. I.e. give or raise money for charity or volunteering your services for free. There is no profit motive other than to help mankind or your fellow human. This is the main purpose of charities but can be done on a more personal or one to one bases.
