What is Promotion

1) When someone is given a higher position in employment usually with more pay and responsibilities.

2) When a business gains exposure to the market and customers of their goods and services.  E.g. Giving away free samples so customers as a promotion for customers to try their goods and services and exciting customers feel good as they are getting a freebie.
