Back DoorThis phrase is used to describe a method which is used to gain an advantage which uses questionable ethics. Also used to describe a not so conventional method of achieving something.
e.g Jane got a job in the company because her brother is the manageing director. There was no need to hold an interview. Gaining a job in a company usually requires an interview and a recruitment process is usually followed.
