Benchmark
This is a standard or predetermined level to use as a referance point. Individuals and products can be measured by a benchmark in their specific area. The benchmark is a standard and ther can be a number of standards.
e.g a benchmark for a good building. This can be considering a shed ,a house , a block of flats, a mansion. Each catergory will have it own benchmark as to quality.
